Order from WSBC – Documentation required (workplace violence incident) – Forest Science Centre

This Inspection Report documents the receipt and acceptance of the employer’s preliminary incident investigation report, relating to an incident which occurred on March 7, 2019. Refer to Inspection Report #201916973022A for additional information.

Preliminary and full incident investigation required (workplace violence incident) – Forest Science Centre

A student worker was injured after being assaulted in the basement of the CAWP building. WorkSafeBC is requesting a correction to the preliminary investigation regarding the completion date and summoning first aid.

Compliance Achieved (risk of injury to workers from dangerous trees) – Malcolm Knapp Research Forest, Maple Ridge BC

This inspection report document that UBC has reached compliance with providing a solution to the safety issue identified. WorkSafeBC had identified that 3 trees were partially suspended against the limbs and trunk of a large cedar tree. All of the trees are leaning towards a permanent road with occasional heavy truck traffic.
