UBC Vancouver has multiple Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees (JOHSCs). One of their primary responsibilities is to participate in and recommend solutions to work related health and safety issues. The JOHSCs are particularly important where faculty, staff or student workers feel that safety issues have not been adequately addressed by their supervisor or work area.
